There are worlds to explore in Crimson Boracay, the cuisine is one. The international food listing of the resort's restaurants can take you on a gastronomic journey across the globe. Italian? Indian? Japanese? Whatever your palate desires, the chefs can whip up delectable savories and saccharine wonders. 

The mood? If you want a romantic interlude over fine wine and mouthwatering grilled fare, head to Mosaic Latin American Grill. 

It's always a kiss the ocean-view mornings with a hearty breakfast at Saffron Cafe.

If you prefer the sight and sound of lapping waves and sea breeze, there's the seaside Azure Beach Club. 

Here are some of the dishes I tried and loved!

All natural absorption: Vitamin C + Vitamin D. A refreshing watermelon shake while working on that tan.

Azure Garden Salad. Roasted Beet, Quinoa, Edamame, Arugula, Guava Vinaigrette. This came highly recommended & found out why after just one bite.

Forever favorite Chinese appetizer. Salt & Pepper Squid. Szechuan pepper, sesame oil, spring onions & chili.

Rib Eye Steak. 100% US Certified Angus Beef. Served with a choice of sauce & side dish. It was cooked the way I like it - seasoned with salt & pepper (I never pour any sauce on my steaks). Grilled perfectly, slicing it was like like cutting through a ripe banana with a butter knife.

Chicken Tandoori. Served with Coriander Salad, Naan bread & Mint Chutney

Truly an Indian treat. Tender and flavorful chicken!  Tandoori & curry dishes by the Indian chef are highlights in the menu

Best Italian pairing. Always. Wood Fire Oven Four Cheese Pizza, a special order & Ragu Alla Bolognese. Classic Beef & Pork Sauce, Parmesan.

This Burger: 100% beef. Served with bacon, Cheddar cheese & fried egg.  An afternoon treat or even a main meal. Bite into the tender & juicy (& thick) patty & savor the all beefy goodness.

A bite of Japan. Dragon Roll. Shrimp Tempura, Cucumber, avocado & BBQ eel

Dark Chocolate & Caramel Mousse Bar How can I say no to dark chocolate?

Tiramisu. Coffee-flavored desserts are winners for me.

At the CentralWorld, there was this all you eat ice cream carousel

So is mine. In any meal, I can always forego of the main course and feast on the dessert. At my favorite Chinese resto in Davao, I start and end my meal with the buchi because it’s my favorite.

Not all desserts are created equal. I prefer mine on the not too sweet side, just like how the Japanese make theirs.

Now back to Bangkok. On the regular visit to the malls to escape from the heat and check what’s new within its premises, I caught a couple of food fairs set up in the atriums. It was highlighting everything sweet.

At CentralWorld, the atrium was an artisanal ice cream paradise. The frozen delight came in different shapes, presentations and flavors. One cannot really stop at one scoop (I didn’t because I can’t) as the next booth is enticing—in look and offering—as the previous one.

How do you choose from these ice cream flavors: Thai Tea, Red Bull, Oreo-Salt, Indigo Coconut, Yakult-Jelly, Coconut Milk? And these are just in one booth.

I went for the Itim Lamoon flavors that intrigued me—Indigo Coconut and Red Bull flavors, and enjoyed its unique flavors as went around to check out what others had to offer.

In Terminal 21, they were having a cake fair where baked delicacies came in all shapes, sizes and flavors.

Brownies, mille crepes, macarons, muffin, cupcakes, cheesecakes, shortcakes, cakes in jars, dairy-free, gluten-free,nut-free, soy-free, low fat, fat free, just about anything is prepared the way you like it. All you have to do is bite on it (after paying, of course).

Catching up with the “no tramp but no ladies” was like a typical Davao weekend gathering where the chika was in Visayan, Tagalog and gay lingo, laughter-filled and food was at the center of it all.

On a couple of nights out, I tagged along with Jenny, Tetel, Rica and Karen, the meat-loving New York City girls, and snapped back to being a carnivore once more.

When craving for barbecues— brisket, ribs, pork, chicken and sausages— they head to the “meat market”—Hill Country (30 West 26th Street) in Chelsea District. The restaurant pays tribute to the Lone Star State’s food favorites, live music and relaxed, country dining.

I fell in love with  the Concrete Jungle. No, not New yYork but the COncrete Jungle--Shake Shack's dense frozen vanilla custard, fudge sauce, bananas and peanut butter sauce.

The vibe in madison Square Park is so relaxing.

Look around & look up, the surprises are endless.

After the sweet tooth’s G-Spot was hit head on by P.S. Café’s orgasmic 3G treat, it started asking for more, more, more! The dessert maniac was so turned that no amount of counseling (or even Oprah’s intervention) will help. Saccharine shots were in order.

With a good number of sugar shops in Singapore, this was not a problem. There’s a proportionate amount of sweet treat suppliers for every savory restaurant there is, and finding these shops will be of no difficulty. Some you’d chance upon in a food hall, some you can Google, or ushered to by fellow dessert freaks.

My hosts Googie and Veron are food lovers. There was to be no dessert after a hearty burger meal at the ala-NYC diner, it will be at Empire Café for their recommended Sago Gula Melaka.
