WHO says it’s lonely at the top?

And, to get into the sundown Bangkok groove, I sipped on my Strawberry Martini.

Just like its food, the décor and set-up of Red Sky’s alfresco dining area is trendy and uncomplicated. It’s pleasing to the eyes, fun, relaxing, as it can be romantic at any spot of the entire 55th floor’s outdoor area that offers a panoramic view of the city at night.

On the first visit, I was faced with a challenge of singling out a dish. Even with the thoughtfully planned out short menu, every entry on the list promised a delight to the palate. So I stuck to what I practice, I sought out the recommendations of the host and was presented with these: for starters, a warm dish of Seafood Spaghettini— rock lobster, mussels, scallop, herbs and olive oil—very rich tasting pasta dish with a kick of heat with the incorporation of chili;

the entrée, the must-try charcoal grilled Wagyu MS4 Beef Tenderloin with Foie Gras, sautéed cep mushroom and red wine sauce, potato croquette on the side (this dish I will have again on the next trip, I swear!);

and for dessert “made by chefs whose mission in life is to create out of this world desserts”, freshly baked Chocolate Lava Cake with a wedge of homemade Pistachio Ice Cream.

It was a decadent meal made even special with a great view. You see, here at the top loneliness is never existent, I should know. I came alone and I had and will always have Bangkok to dine with.
