25 Degrees introduces Bangkok to a sophisticated new twist on the traditional American burger joint. This “bordello meets burger bar” is playfully designed in the same quirky style as its upscale namesake at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, renowned amongst the smart set for the ‘best burgers in Los Angeles’.
Named after the temperature difference between a medium rare and well-done burger, 25 Degrees, is the place to head to for a burger fix-- gourmet style. In here, diners discover tender and juicy variations of prime ground sirloin steak and fresh free range chicken – grilled according to personal preference with a choice of gourmet cheeses and toppings.
Your creativity (and appetite) will prevail in designing your personalized dream burger. Shower your patty with any of the thirteen artisan cheese toppings (from brie, goat cheese and cheddar to emmental, gorgonzola, mozzarella and Point Reyes blue) plus any of the fourteen other choice toppings (sautéed mushrooms, sauerkraut, jalapeno pepper, fried egg, sun dried tomato, green chili, bacon and Parma ham) in creating your most indulgent burger ever.
With lack of sleep, I cannot be creative so I pointed my finger at Number One of “Our Burgers” (aka 25 Degrees Signature Burgers) on the menu—200 grams of US Angus Beef with caramelized onions, Cresenza Cheese, Prelibato Gorgonzola Cheese, bacon, and a side dish of rocket salad with 1,000 Island Sauce. The Truffle French Fries came highly recommended so that, too, was ordered.
I chose Number 1 |
As soon as my order was served, I suddenly wish any of my friends were with me to share this sumptuous gourmet burger. Yes, it’s huge. I was the polite guest and finished it anyway (that was what pregnancy must have felt like).
To share. If hungry, cannot share. |
The Truffle Fries.... to die for. |
Lunch was far from over. May said I must try the desserts as well. I was fortunate to have tasted the heavenly desserts, the Warm Melt Chocolate Cake and Banana Waffles, and as much as I wanted to, I can no longer be too polite and finish them (that was what pregnant with twins felt like). On the next visit perhaps?
The restaurant is open 24/7 making it a perfect venue for a lunch or dinner date, or to hangout and party with sipping on any of the tasty cocktails and wines (yes, not only milkshakes) offered while enjoying the hip tunes served by the weekend DJs, and while you’re at it, stay over until the next day and have breakfast. 25 Degrees’ breakfast menu boasts of a large selection of eggs that can be crafted to your taste with a selection of seventeen toppings and fourteen kinds of cheese. A tasty selection of cereals, American breakfast classics, pancakes, waffles and French toast will complete your morning meal.
When you make it Bangkok, check out this “bordello” and have the burger of your dreams.
